Intel has been taking AMD very seriously for a while. I really wish they wouldn't for a while but that is not likely. Informed Intel investors are also concerned about AMD, but not all of them show it.

I thought the article had a clear pro-Intel slant. It had a bunch of nonsense reasons explaining the cheap Pee-III/600 price, but did not even mention Athlon as one of them.

The above quote illustrates the negative tone of reporting a remarkable achievement.
