Heat is there 'cause I'll be offering all the goodies from the kitchen for 1/7 price of the competition in a few weeks. Chat should be open within 2-3 weeks and little by little interactivity and other sophisticated features a la sites like www.smartmoney.com is getting the competition hot under the collar. Called my programmer last night (head programmer of University of Minnesota and most of the state government websites) and told her 'no holds barred, I want the latest, and best'. The only extra charge would be one for he chat but even that 400% cheaper than other chat rooms and maybe a slightly higher charge for a Bloomberg terminal which would cost me $2,500 a month but the cost to say 500-1,000 who are the most that could use the room at the first phase again would be a whole lot less (nothing in the ballpark of 4-700 bucks more like 50-125 tops.. and that is the the most upscale chatroom they sell. We will also be offering a full education service again 1/8 price of others. www.Tradehard.com has a good service for just $10.00 a month, they have tens of thousands of subscribers so they can afford to come down in price. Ours will be a litttle more geared to market gems sort of picks (not general) so it is a few bucks more. The money comes from the amount of subscribers say you have 300 the chat costs more the more subscribers you have using the chat the less it costs for the host (namely Savvy trader) most people don't know about these things so they charge cause they figure stocks are expensive and if you can afford to trade you can afford to pay....a lot. So they fling barbs at me..But I couldn't care less.. I'll be freed up for the research, working on new program with Telescan, the trading manual will include chapter on IPO's and covered calls but in a language comprehensible to everyone and not at the level of Masters Degree in finance (which is really no different since I have a few customers who are professors of finance in universities on the west coast) customer contact on stock questions and not be bothered with marketing, programming, adminitration, etc.
