Prairie Fire progress on proposed major transaction
Prairie Fire Oil & Gas Ltd PRY
Shares issued 4,500,000 1999-07-22 close $4.3
Wednesday Jul 28 1999

Mr. David Tonken reports
On July 19, 1999, the company filed with the Alberta Stock Exchange the preliminary documentation respecting the proposed major transaction with Interquest Inc., in accordance with the exchange's circular No. 7 for junior capital pool issuers. The documents included the independent valuation of Interquest, background information on the directors and officers of Interquest, and other information about Interquest, including a copy of Interquest's software product FACES, The Ultimate Composite Picture.
The exchange is currently reviewing the materials filed. Due to the level of market interest in Prairie Fire's common shares, trading was halted by the exchange on July 22, 1999, pending completion of its review. Since trading was halted, Prairie Fire and Interquest have met with the exchange and have filed further documentation with the exchange. The parties will continue to assist the exchange in order that its review can be completed quickly and trading in Prairie Fire's common shares can resume shortly.
In addition, Canaccord Capital Corporation has been engaged to act as the sponsoring exchange member firm for Prairie Fire in support of its application for listing on the regular company board of the exchange at the completion of its previously announced proposed major transaction with Interquest.>>

Emphasis mine.

Unsual that they waited until now to retain a sponsoring broker.
