what about those that buy food, e.g., for your 60 suggestion?

What if food is not available for 80 days? Water for 65 days? They DIE, like really dumb-dead! And, to think, buying for these extra couple of weeks would only cost, what, an extra couple of hundred dollars? A whole family dying for saving a couple of hundred dollars?

You can fit in any set of numbers here, with the same arguement.

The point here is that there is NO answer to this- it is all judgement and determination of price vs. risk, an individual one.

I would rather spend a couple of thousand extra to lower my risk potential for all but worse-case senarios where prep becomes fruitless and futile, as you pointed out.
