Now this is a classic. Everybody remembers Bre-X, right? :-)

From article about Bre-X Calgary Sun April 7,97

"High-profile Wall Street analyst Andrew Racz said it's no coincidence that rumors have been planted over the Internet and in the media in recent weeks suggesting Bre-X doesn't have the gold. Racz said that smacks of a campaign to sell Bre-X stock short, by driving down its share price.
"Almost anybody with a lot of money knows how to play the short-selling game," said Racz, director of research for New York-based investment firm Bishop, Rosen & Co. Inc. "

Guess who was hired by Medinah to do PR? Yep...

"Lake Elsinore, CA, February 24, 1998 ... Medinah Energy Inc. is pleased to announce today that the company has contracted the services of Andrew Racz of Bishop, Rosen & Co., a registered New York & American Stock Exchange Company. Mr. Racz is an international securities analyst. He will assist in US and international investor relations as well as issuing press releases, publications, newsletters and market analysis."
