Gene - I take the Pricewatch prices with a big grain of salt, since they are typically limited to 1 or 2 pieces, and the shipping charges are exhorbitant. So they are playing a shell game, moving $ from product to shipping.

It's also difficult to know how much SDRAM was sold earlier at $4-5 versus how much is being sold now at $6.10. A lot of DIMMs on the market now may have been built with $4-5 SDRAM. Finally, spot and contract SDRAM prices in Asia are lower than in the U.S.

You're probably right, but it does seem strange that W/W contract SDRAM prices aren't decreasing as fast as W/W spot pricing on DIMM's. Today from Japan.
