did y'all hear Alan mention the s-shaped curve?? that's the work of Theodore Modis that Tom has been telling us about - I ordered the books (Predictions and S-Shaped Trail to Wall Street) from T. Modis last week (he's in Switzerland) and can't wait to read them thoroughly - I did get an inkling of what he's talking about in one of his earlier books which was in Borders's (can't remember title) - Alan spoke of it in the context of how much growth in still ahead of us in this technical "revolution" which started with the integrated circuit and how much growth is ahead still in productivity - T. Modis has quantified that and it can be predicted - believe it - Alan KNOWS when this s-shaped curve will start to flatten. We will, too. <g> The s-shaped curve is the shape of the cycle of birth, growth, maturity, decline and death. His analysis predicts the following: (this info may be updated in the recent books which I have not read yet) Summer 1997 - 2004 - Sell commodities Fall 2004 - 2011 - Sell shares, Buy gold Winter 2011 -2018 - Buy bonds, sell gold purtee interesting, yup!
