Yes, they do often take on the role of philanthropists. Additionally, most of their assets are ordinarily tied up in productive investment, and their consumption itself supports jobs. Finally, many of them do add value to their respective enterprises, whether it be through athletic prowess and star power, or through savvy business decisions. I am glad to see that you are not intrinsically hostile to millionaires....
