He said he will raise interest rates three times, half a point each time over the next month. He said he wants to pop the bubble before Y2K does it. He wants to take credit for it he says. A congressman asked, why? He said because he is AG and nobody messes with him. He also said he is all cash right now in his portfolio so it is as good a time as ever to hike rates. He said he was fully invested last month so he could not do more than a quarter point. Another congressman asked why are you being so honest and direct. AG said he is retiring after election 2000, but he wants to pop that bubble first. He had a big grin on his face when he said that. A Congressman then asked, is it a good time to buy some SPX puts and AG said oh yea baby Im gettin me a truckload. That concluded the question and answer period.

John's reply # 13 was pretty funny. Actually I heard the text was going to be ideniticle to that given last week, excepting Q & A from our politican's.
Don't know the outcome of that. Mustn't be too bad.
Best Regards,
