Internet access in some parts of Europe is free ( advertising supported ). The real question is how can Gateway make continued gains in the profit percentages and Gross when ISP ( Their new gold mine )prices are going to be less or as in Europe free?

ISP's in Europe (well I am only 100% certain about the UK) are not really free since the revenue model is different from US metro areas. In the UK there is a fairly hefty per minute charge for all local calls. The new deal is the ISP's negotiate a kickback from BT so offering "free" internet really isn't free to the user and the ISP gets a fairly decent revenue stream from the local call tariff.

But this doesn't change the trend that is occurring that you note. It is just that Europe ain't quite so far forward on the curve, yet.
