Read a book by Douglas Casey called "Crisis Investing" for simple investment information.

I remember that book. It's about 20 years old. I own it, or at least I did once. (That book is probably he reason I own all those gold coins.) Just scanned my library and couldn't find it, but I'll keep looking.

If I lose all my money, at least I will still have my convictions and my family (and enough food that I don't have to eat my words or my family).

That sounds like a very wise philosophy. (And a sense of humor doesn't hurt either.)
