Stan,

He was a lefthander, who Dodger announcer Vin Scully would describe as golfing a home run which he would usually pull to right field.

He played golf left-handed. He really smacked the dickens out the ball as well, especially for someone who was probably on the other side of 60. I asked him if he played golf while he was playing baseball and how he reconciled the swings. He said he'd just taken up golf about 5 years ago. He parred at least the first 4 holes (I don't know what his final score was). Some people are just naturally athletic, I guess.
