RE: << Slimmer does not mean selling below cost. Clearly Peck, who has been neutral on Intel for a year and a half , thinks that Intel is making money in the low end. This makes perfect sense to me!>>

I believe that D. Peck was the analyst from SG Cowen who said 3-4 weeks ago that intc was selling it celeron chips below cost. If I remember correctly, he said no one could prove it because intc would creatively account for the costs.

Now three weeks later Mr. Peck does a 180 degree turn; clearly he has seen the light? I think not. Chipzilla strikes again....its hard to go against the flow of an 800 lb gorilla.

But we will see....the proof will be in the stock price. Intc has been range bound since January......we will see if that changes. Personally I think intc will turn out like Dell. How long has Dell been stuck between 35 and 45; since March? January? October, 98?

Personally I think the next Dell is intel. Hey I like the way that sounds....I think it's going to stick.
