>>"The DISK/TREND forecast predicts that 25.5 million high capacity floppy drives will be sold in 1999. New applications are also expected to boost sales of magnetic rigid disk cartridge drives to more than 9 million units in 1999. "

as you can see, these sales are nowhere near the REALITY that 1999 is bringing. The Unit Sales Rate is nowhere NEAR 25 Million units this year. More like 15 Million at the MOST.<<

Elmer -

So in 1996, DiskTrend expected more high capacity floppy drives to be sold in 1999 than are actually going to be sold. And you assume that this is because they were too bullish on IOM.

Perhaps the problem with the DiskTrend superfloppy unit sales numbers is due to the failure of Zip's competition. LS-120, HiFD, the still-born Swan drive, etc., have failed to catch on in the marketplace.

Meanwhile, you haven't been able to accurately predict the price for IOM even a few months away.

Your predictions for CD-RW outselling Zip last year were way off as well.

What was that you were saying about accountability and credibility?

Excuse me, but you're really coming off as a pinhead here.
