Mr. Fun and Paul Fine, in their reports on the conference call, did not mention that John Roth reported a 50% increase in sales of optical network gear and DWDM technology. With the announcement today by Level 3, this means Nortel is now supplying all three major public networks - Level3, Williams, & QWest - with transport and optical network gear including DWDM technology and the Nortel network management software. This is a terrific vote of confidence for Nortel by some major players. It appears to me that Nortel is now the undisputed leader in supply optical networking gear. Any comments? Ken
