Hello John,

Actually, although those might have been the claims, I'm not sure that your first statement is true. If I look at the time frames of the aquisition and release of RealJukebox, I don't believe that the software development process, and QA, and doc, etc. could have been done that quickly.

At the MP3 Summit in San Diego I was told that Real Jukebox and Audio Catalyst (the Xing product) were very seperate products, and might remain that way ... no solid plans ...

As for Glaser's words, of course he would make a statement like this ... I would expect no less. But as a user and developer of MP3 streaming technology I can tell you that Real Jukebox sucks compared to many other solutions. I *do* use Audio Catalyst (now a Real product) but I do not use Real Jukebox. Even MusicMatch is a much better solution.

We will all believe who we want, and make decisions based on numerous data points ... if you read back on this thread, you'll see that I accurately predicted the impacts of MP3 and the fact that Real was going to have to make a move. As I still learn from the same people around me, that use this technology on a daily basis, I am simply saying that Real is *not* a player in the MP3 world yet ... and the MP3 world (and underworld) continues to grow at a *huge* pace ...

Still, I'm holding my RNWK for now ... ;-)
