Bill Vaughn, in your statement "What does this say about women?" the impression I got is that women are not afraid to express their feelings. Many men may have felt the same way. But because of their upbringing, the expectation to always be "Tough and in control", especially in the 60's, made it very difficult for them to show any emotion in many situations.
