was posted long ago but here is a brief synopsis...

T/@home can't take over AOL's market share by playing catchup...they can't just offer faster access...AOL was never the fastest service and they won the ISP war with 18million subscribers...they have to beat AOL on speed and SERVICES! Part of AOL's service that is very popular and a great revenue source is AOL's internet based merchant area(as well as chat etc). T and excite@home's portal will point to HyperrTV's TVcentric merchant area (and chat) and that will be a technological leapfrog past AOL!!!

And of course any @homebrowser would be delivered with the HyperTV plugin (but the upgrades and plugins for users of other browsers will be able to download it).

@home coming out with their own browser confirms that while MSFT and AOL go to war - T/@home/IATV has chance to leapfrog them with TV centric/broadband convergence approach!!!
