Well, start with bigcharts.com which will let you compare a ticker against different indices and/or other tickers. But remember QQQ has only been in existence since mid-March:

For a longer term, the Rydex OTC Fund (min. $25,000 investment) holds the Nasdaq 100. You can see how good a job Rydex does tracking the Nas 100 by comparing RYOCX vs. QQQ for the last 3 months.

So then compare RYOCX vs. Nasdaq Index going back 5 years and you'll see that RYOCX representing the Nas 100 is up over 500% whereas the Nasdaq index in aggregate is up only 200+%.

So one could conclude that in the long-run the Nas 100 and therefore QQQ will outperform. Day-to-day trading would be probably different and you could play around with the intraday and day charts to see how they interrelate.
