Do any of us think the "big boys" are going to sit idly on the sidelines? Competition is going to get intense, so I'm hoping by getting out of the gate earlier puts PNLK far enough ahead that we don't lose momentum. Best part of Oracle's release is that it won't be available till the end of '99.

Posting competitors PR releases ...

must delight them. Offering website and investment numbers is not what I would call productive or inducing confidence in PNLK.

I want to know about the competition. I assume there will be many b2b companies and more global b2bs as well. I want to keep up with them. I don't care to read their PR releases.

Now I am thinking of buying Oracle and not any more PNLK.

Sounds to me as if they intend for this to be a US only gig...pnlk is miles ahead by taking on the global trade issues, imho ---and by already having a functioning product.

This does seem to go a long ways towards validating pnlk's concept though

Allen et. al.:

I sent GZ the copy of your Oracle link via Taylor and here is his reply.

Dear Howard,
Thank you for the note.
No I do not see Oracle as direct competition to ProNetLink. Lets face the
facts... the B2B market is projected to hit $1.3 trillion by 2003. The only
way that this will happen is if more companies get into the B2B market.
ProNetLink.com is designed to help companies with all aspects of global
trade...from sourcing to shipping. Even on the Oracle site they will still
need some of the functionality and info on PNL. Frankly, the additional
companies coming into the market add credibility to what we are doing. In
the end I would be happy with only 10% of the total market. I think you see
what I mean.
Thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Glenn Zagoren
