You should get some objectivity. Are you at all familiar with fee structure? Presently, AOL charges $9.95/month for "bring your own access" ("BYOA" plan). That is the present monthly price to get AOL via a cable modem. Why is it so unrealistic that they would lower that $4.95 per month, to $5.00? Get a handle on your numbers before you tell me I'm not objective. I'm suggesting, for example, a $4.95 price cut and that makes me "unrealistic", yet AT&T is floating a rumor of a $20.00 price cut and that's o.k.?

You're probably just upset that your AtHome stock was down 9/16, and AOL was up 4 9/16 today.

Let me venture to say that you do not have children and are the only one to use an ISP in your household. What's $5? I have 2 ISP's. One for my kids(and back-up for me)AOL-and one for me(which I use solely for trading). I like the security of having my kids confined to AOL-I would gladly pay more. I'm sure I'm not alone. I also use AOL after trading hours quite a bit because I like the community.
I have been a holder of AOL for two years and will continue to hold. Sometimes I think people can't see the forest for the trees. There's a reason AOL has the subscriber base it does-and by the way, not everyone needs high speed access.
