Translation of Kevin for newbies <VBG> . . . NO UPGRADES OR DOWNGRADES for 25 days after IPO = Quiet Period.

Some related info:
There are quiet periods that happen during mergers and acquisitions.

Also there is no "legal" shorting in U.S. for 30 days. However, shorting starts the second an IPO opens, via offshore accounts. . .and any good short-seller has offshore trading accounts.

And those receiving their shares at the original IPO price. . .are not supposed to "flip" their shares for a profit during the first 30 days, or they will get a slap on the hand.
