Lynn, I think you have proposed one great idea here and I am very interested...I emailed the Club tonight and want to see what kinds of responses I get...Get those fatt people thinking :-) I have often done this. I don't know if you have ever read up on Warren Buffett or not, but he is by far, my role model. He has this statment and I think it applies here (this sounds like a pump and dump statment! LOL) "Buy when nobody wants it, and sell when everybody wants it." He went on to say, know what you are investing in and beleive in them. I have always beleived in this with all of the stocks I buy, with the exception of the BBs that I have been in. You can't hold BB stocks long, because they will turn on you and burn you because of greed. I have been burnt far too many times... But, back to what I was talking about (darn BBs!), I beleive you are onto something. One thing we run into when we are on the INternet and EVERYBODY is informed, people get impatient and sell in and out quickly, thus not giving many stocks proper time and analysis. I think that we do need to analyze what will be hot and wait it out, but on this board and in the emails, people are centered around a short-term profit, in most cases, so it puts me in a hot spot as far as "how long do we hold?" People get impatient with stocks that you are talking about. This is why I haven't, up and till recently talked about my bigger-cap holdings, like QCOM, T, EXDS, and the like on the Index..People don't want to wait around..That's the way SI and the Internet investing world is now days... When I do invest in a stock, I look beyond what it is now, and to the future. That is something that I beleived in with GOCA. The Bull Market was in full swing, people were buying expensive cars, and I figured they would gamble that money. I was right. GOCA showed incredible numbers, just like SNMM has. THe problem there with GOCA was obviously the managment and some decisions they made and they are paying for it....No filings (as usual) But, that was one reason for GOCA. I looked at what was going on around me. And I think more people should do the same.. Nowdays, most TA is almost out the window because of the volatility of the market. IT is crazy. People think you can TRULY do TA on a BB. That's insane, IMO. I don't think it's possible with how much people trade these days. It's all this online investing/trading going on and junk...No real investing hardly at all anymore. It's all about the quick profit. Wow, I am really heading down the wrong path here..Way off track! LOL Who cares..I'm having fun. IN respect to ISLD, I got in that one, along with many of you. I am still in it obviously, as my faith is still high. ON the Hot sector issue is a real reason why I am in this one. Look at that analyst on CNBC today. He said the perfect balance is having some pure Internet stocks (YHOO and such) and then a "backup" of the backbones. I think the market will soon turn from these inflated pigs like EBAY that are way too overvalued and see what the heck is backing these things and providing everything (ISLD, EXDS, ABOV). This is one reason for ISLD. And fits what you are talking about. Right now, it's very turbulant for IPO reasons, confusion on numbers( geesh!) and momo IPOers getting out..It's a mess right now and exactly why TA is hard to do on this one...You just have to go with what you know and beleive in. WHoa...even more.. On to SNMM. Another thing I beleive in is KNOW YOUR STUFF. When I invest in/talk about a stock, I try to know everything possible. This is sometimes why I have been called an Insider or paid tout, because I have so much info. It is nothing more than a lot of DD, but people don't take time to realize that. See, if you are a true investor in SNMM and knew all about the comapny and everything that goes on, you would have immediatly bought the stock on the fall. It was so clear that the lawsuit was BOGUS. You could have made a quick $50k off of that manipulation. I could have made good money off of it if I would have been home, but hey, that is the way the cookie crumbles..and that is the BB market for ya! My quote for all of this - 'Know your stuff and think one step ahead of the others' FM Hope I didn't go too off topic! LOL
