Errors like the ones you mentioned are normal for Windows. Well, they are not NORMAL, but they happen all the time for all kinds of reasons on Windows based machines.

My buddy, a SUN man through and through, hates Windows machines. He only uses Solaris or Unix OS, and the Palm OS. He is always telling me stories about these operating systems, how you don't have to re-boot when you install software or an upgrade, etc.... Also he brags about his servers that they have never been re-booted or shut down for 2 years straight.

I don't think a Windows machine could do that.

Keep running scan disk, you will find errors again.
