Seagate owns about a third of Dragon if memory serves. I wouldn't place too much of a value on it at the present time.

Yes Seagate owns 69 million shares of VRTS. I believe they mentioned in their last conference call that it was 41% of the company. I will check my notes and post if inaccurate. The VRTS share number you have is probably not up to date.

For a newbie to Seagate, what is SEGs current investment in each of these?

I have not pieced all the pieces of this puzzle together, but if you go back a few posts there are some educated guesses.

I am a big fan of Dragon Systems. I hope that voice recognition will be a huge hit in a few years. It will essentially wipe out carpal tunnel syndrome for many of those who do dictations.
