I see. And were all these countless, helpless infants thrown in trash heaps from the 1700s through most of this century as Christine somehow has deluded herself into believing? The government should not legislate morality, nor intrude into its citizens private affairs, nor should create redistribution of wealth schemes, confiscate income in the form of taxes, and so on and so on... Protect its citizens from outside force? Yes. Regulate? No. Pass objective laws? Yes. Pass non-objective laws? No. Protect private property? Yes. Confiscate private property? No. Encourage social responsibility? Yes. Create social programs? NO! NO! NO! FT

Did I accuse of you meanness? I recall rather tendentiously accusing Steven of that; and of asking if you intended to slap Lather in the face or some such thing; and of apologizing after you said Lather and you were both just having fun. I haven't followed the Washington DC discussion, though, being too busy picking on Steven. Would I think you were mean if I had?
