I am uncomfortable writing about the size of investments.

As you can surmise, the peak value of my AMZN shares was well into seven figures. I have mentioned the amout of money that I am considering investing in ICGE to hopefully motivate Robert Rose to pursue the discussion of ICGE with me further.

Everything in your post is correct. I have other capital gains and losses to factor in to the tax considerations. I had 4800 shares of AMZN before selling the 2000 shares yesterday and today.

I am concerned about the insignificant increase in AMZNs market cap with the DSCM IPO. I fear we are headed for the 60 to 70 range before recovering with the holidays. But my intent has been to make AMZN a long-term investment. I am interested in diversifying, hence the consideration of B2B investments. I am also moving money to Cooper-Linse-Hallman, money managers who time the market.

Tom

<It's none of my business and I hate to bug: But I remember that;

Your posts said that you sold 75% of your Amzn shares in Jan99 @120s and then bot
back half of the shares you sold in Feb99 @120s. Correct?

So your holding was 50% of the orig. shares until this latest selling of 2K shares? That's
sorta interesting.

Will you have to "pay" the LT Cap. gain first then incurred a s-t loss? >

This post is spooky.... And I can't even remember what I paid for a stock I bought the previous day!

You would make some kinda tax attorney....amazing....

OT ---

Jan,

I don't think 50% is correct. If I understood correctly,
Tom had 62.5% of his original shares until recently.

In a later post he declares that was 4800 shares so that
gives him around 7700 shares for his original holding.

At the peak value that comes to $1.7 mil.

regards,
t
