Tec. I would not bet money on where AOL will be by the end of the year. Who knows. It may have gone up and come down again some by that time. A lot of things can happen with Y2K. Everybody has a diff. opinion on that scenario. Who knows if the FED will raise rates later this year (even though I can't see why) and scare the markets. The economy could heat up a bit more if some of the things I am hearing come to pass. There is talk that a lot of businesses are stacking up on supplies in case there will be a slight problem in the beginning of 2000. If the FED does go overboard with its inflation fears, it could depress stocks for a while. Should stocks go down we know that AOL would not be immune. In any event I can't see that buying AOL at these prices would not be beneficial down the road. Luckily all this is just a guessing game and maybe the DOW will be at 12,000 by the end of the year and we can look back on today with a grin.

Did you read the articles I posted today? The way I read those articles AOL is not out of the loop when it comes to providing fast speed on the net. No one thing has the upper hand yet and maybe never will have. I for one am fairly at ease with my holdings in AOL no matter how volatile. I bought my last shares in January and have seen them falling off from their highs with the rest of you longs. But selling never occurred to me. I know capital preservation is the good talk but once I sell I always have a hard time buying back in and I want to keep AOL for the long haul. I was going to buy more AOL after Greenspeak if AOL was still under 100. I should have bought more this morning instead, like some of you did.

BTW. I heard late this afternoon it was imminent that AOL would make a cable deal. I would imagine though that this was just an opinion.
