Why the hell one of the worlds premiere company Intel, be shoving technology down everyone's throat, putting there future, rep. on the line, if RMBS technology was not needed?

Intel appears just as clueless about DRDRAM as they do about a lot of other roadmap issues these days. There is no good reason to put DRDRAM on a motherboard right now.

Acceptance of the product will come slowly, and will likely begin with high end graphics cards.

Greg and thread, when I first joined SI back in 1996 Carl used to post on the Intel thread and bash Intel. As Ibexx said, he can be used as a good contrary indicator. Intel's performance has been great since then and INTC's going higher with the help of RMBS!
