For the last couple years I've seen vendors at computer shows hook up "poor-man" cellular connections to credit card authentication machines. ...now, not only can they hook up their PC to their cellular(AND cr-card authentication device), they can have portable scanning/inventory of bar coded display items ANYWHERE THEY CARE TO SET UP A TABLE! (okay, maybe it's a stretch on having all that on one regular laptop....then again, maybe not!) Flea markets, jewelry & craft shows, etc. are still very popular, also will do wonders for smaller retail stores, and inventorying, etc for large company's(should go much faster with portable barcode readers)...bodes well for this type of tech-hardware interfacing. GO SCKT! (Mid-long term) -Mark
