Gold,

I haven't got time to teach you macro-economics and Forex strategies. Heck, I'm just learning the fundamentals myself.

Suffice it to say that if nation's sell illiquid physical gold assets in order to purchase other nation's currencies, or to buy their currency back from other nations, it is in their interest to do so.

And why not? The can always mine more gold (ie: create more "money"), right?

Regards,

Ron

I guess it's not macro economics he needs to learn (he does) but basic business knowledge -I didn't know that governments were in the business of mining gold - but do know that they are adept at creating (printing) money. d
