I was expecting that kind of answer. Does anyone doubt that Reagan and Bush would have gotten accolades if the deficit would have declined during their administration? Give credit where credit is due. Many people, led by dickhead Rush Limbaugh, were calling for an economic disaster when Clinton was elected, even knowing that there would be a Republican Congress.

That's right. And it went up when Reagan was in and the Democrats were controlling Congress. But Reagan gets the blame too because he signed those bills. And so does Clinton get some of the credit for the budget surplus now.
