AJ Berger:

Actually, I wish you wouldn't leave. Your post shows that you have something to offer since your investment style is "event" trading. We could all use a reminder in properly timing our trades. Timing is the key to profitable investing if you are a trader.

Any one buying PQT today is probably buying it because the price has fallen to an oversold level (my opinion) and they believe that another "event" will be rumored which will drive the price upward.

You, on the other hand, wait for the rumor of the event to start making the rounds before viewing PQT as a viable play. Your cash stays more liquid since you don't buy till just before the event occurs and you sell on the occurrence of the event.

The investors buying PQT at the current price are buying expecting the price to eventually rise from some event to occur in the future. Since PQT is a pretty active rumor target, current investors don't expect to see much depreciation in the current price before the stock price begins to move upward on anticipation. The current investors gain would be the increased share price they would get before the rumor encouraged you to buy in.

It's a trade off.... low share price versus liquid capital.
Both styles of trading are valid... as long as you get the timing right! Good luck to us all.
