It's too early to start an argument but I would like to quietly disagree with you on a couple of points. I understand that it was Kennedy who first proposed, and probably helped draft the Civil Rights Act of 1964 but he could not push it through congress. Even members of his own party were against it because many of them were from deep south states and still clung to bigoted ideals. LBJ is the one that got it passed because he had spent all of his years in DC gathering information as to where all the skeletons were buried and twisted many a congressional arm.

As for Clinton's cabinet, I think he may have a few that are fairly competent but Brown and Cisneros were proven to be duds. Not that I wished Brown to die in that plane crash. Also, I feel that Madeline Albright is a joke as secretary of state. IMO, all she has done is pander to other governments and not stood up for America.

I don't care for today's tax structure but am not going to make a big issue of it. I'm beginning to like the idea of a flat tax so we can shut down the IRS. They are storm troopers.

Other than Rubin, what cabinet officers could you be referring too? Too many have resigned to avoid disgrace are under a cloud of suspicion or have been indicted.

Cisneros, Babbitt, Brown, Espy, O'Leary & Reno.
