<At same speed Intel is pricing PIII less than Athlon. Does that tell you something?>

Not much. Intel is still sticking to the predictions of 60% margins.

Now before anyone retorts, "Think of how high those margins would have been w/out the threat of Athlon," may I remind everyone that Intel originally predicted 58% margins for the entire year. Seems like margins are slightly higher than even Intel was expecting in the face of competition with AMD.

<Can you tell me how many months will elapse before we see Wilamette?>

Merced and Timna will arrive before Willamette. (Not that they are direct competitors to Athlon, but it should give you a general idea of the timeline.)

Charles - Re: At same speed Intel is pricing PIII less than Athlon. Does that tell you something?

It tells me that Intel is preparing for a new product launch. With the PIII priced just under the (much more costly to produce) Athlon, the CuMine should fit in well at prices somewhat higher than the Athlon. Sure, the CuMine is cheaper to make than the PIII, but since when has that ever meant anything? ;-)
