Seems to me all these providers cost about a 10-12 quid a month +
VAT & offer 0800 access weekends only for the most part. An 0845
number using FF & BF costs 0.85ppm weekends plus VAT less 35%
so thats 0.55ppm + vat

By my reckoning it therefore takes 30 hours of weekend use at £10
a month over 36 hours of weekend use at £12 a month just to break
even against the likes of Freeserve - hardly the most stupendous
deal on the planet!

The lessons of Xstream & Screaming.Net as to be learned as
well....underfunded & under resourced= lousy access...

The NTL cable modem thing has , of course very little to do with this
because its a totally different kind of network that doesn't touch the
PSTN
