To all: I saw a comment on PEG ratios on a later post. So I went back and checked at Zacks.
Mast .55 industry 2.57
Synt .59 industry 2.67

Thats what my data is showing me based on 1999 Mean Earnings. JDN

JDN,

Personally, August/early Sept. scare the hell out of me.

Here's my opinion on timing and that is you got time. And before you tell me, "If you liked GNET in the low 70's you gotta love it in the low 60's." Well I do but I haven't added, yet. Stocks beating estimates are getting slammed and others (re ERICY) disappoint and have a healthy bounce.

I'm tracking quite a few that interest me but between Greenspan and the Fed still feigning the possibility of a rate hike, the summer doldrums and every analyst now qualifying their statements with the Y2K factor being an unknown, I don't think we've seen the worst. My guess is we'll see a great buying opportunity similar to last year between now and the end of October. That is, a major low following the summer highs. That point will likely be with the Fed having tightened one more time or moving to an easing bias, Y2K pretty much factored into the market and before the market has digested the immediate problems well enough to see it's in for a strong and bullish 2000.

No rocket science stuff here but that's my plan and as tempting as a few have gotten the past 2 weeks I'm biting the bullet and being patient. Good time of year for that around here. Lots of diversions. For one, gonna go whitewater rafting for a couple of days next week. Want to join us? :-)

JDN I am not optimistic about price prospects in third quarter. I do expect a strong pickup in MAST,SYNT IMRS etc after third quarter analyst calls as they all will have strong stories to tell about major progress in E-Commerce projects ,contract wins backlog etc. Secondly they will be able to give a clearer picture as to IT budgets in early 2000.
