deja vu all over again: this is sounding remarkably similar to the Datek new-improved (or bloated) versus obsolete (or efficient and familiar) interfaces. Generalizations could probably be made here about user segments resisting change, embracing change leaving the largest segment indifferent.

Now that sounds familiar to history lessons about popular sentiment distribution during the (American) Revolutionary War. I think this makes Cheeky a "Tory". I'll vote (or more likely - not vote) with the great unwashed indifferents. Can't remember the slang name of the rebels. History being written by them makes them "Patriots" I suppose. Or "Give me Beta or give me Death!"?

Now we can devolve into some good name-calling without being censored!

PS Cheeky, weren't you an SI-webmaster for a while? Has that changed? Your posts read remarkably un-affiliated.
