I would say that is the case most of the time. MACD seems to only signal just as momentum has built up to a screaming pitch. Once it signals you can generally expect a stock to run any where from a few days to several weeks.

I have you using a very sensitive setting on the stochs indicator but to get a better comparison to the MACD signal timing wise you might want to use the default setting but still use 8-17-9 for MACD. It will cut out a lot of the movements on stochs which makes it more coordinated with MACD.
