A high volume site should have bandwidth friendly HTML only and little or NO graphics. There are a lot of people who use 33.6 and 56K connections. At my office I don't have a high speed connection. The new site is slower than the old site.

Check other pages, there are a lot more graphics on the new site. On a high speed connection it's no problem.
