Jean Claude, when you visited did you have a
chance to talk with management and learn
their plans for the plant?

It does not surprise me to know that they are
still relying on hand processing of the
laptop cells. Lev's position in January
about this was that they could keep up with
the production from line 1 and would not
upgrade this equipment until they also
installed the high-speed line for laptop
batteries. Lev's position was that they
could fill initial orders from the slow line
using the manual process after the battery
'sandwiches' come off the line.

I wonder why you are so disturbed by this
and take it as a set back. Rich Wolf has
pointed out that they can produce 100k
batteries/mo, which would be almost $10MM
worth of laptop batteries. What makes you
feel that a PO is impossible until the
additional machines are installed? Is this
something which you were told by management?

It would not surprise me if the first large
PO was for cell phone cells. I believe that
the cell phone line is fully automated and
also fully operational at this time.
