Yogi, my impression is that the potential effect of Y2K on the market is generally underestimated and downplayed be analysts and the media. most likely this is to avoid a panic. however, Y2K *will* affect the global economy and markets around the world. i agree with most of what Ed Yardeni has to say on the subject, and the outlook seems rather grim. the media meanwhile, especially bubblevision, are trying to portrait Y2K as a non-event.
