I check diesel/heating oil prices periodically to torture myself with all the money this could have/should be making. Prices have been rock solid except for an air pocket a few days ago when the head of the Venezuelan oil industry threw his 40,000 unemployed oil workers a bone saying maybe quotas should be looked at again. That taught the oil exporters a lesson that until the surplus inventory is burned off, there will no talk of easing quotas. If a GRNO plant made sense 6 months ago, it should be a screaming yes with the new OPEC attitude. And yet GRNO can make no deals and the reason is obvious. The Model 1000 they all want is a computer dream and the existing plant does not run and has no long time operating history. Common sense would indicate that at the very least, a Model 1000 should be set up and run to get some practical operating data, but there has been move to do that. If I was an engineer faced with deciding whether to tell my boss to go ahead with doing a deal with GRNO, I would say no unless a common sense plan was implemented to be sure the design would work.
