>>>AMD has problems, but it does not mean it is impossible for them to create a good chip.<<<

And Apple had the best operating system, too....look where it got them compared to Mister Softee.

Drop it, Kiss, AMD is a joke. Shouldn't even bring their name up in a crowd of serious investors and traders.

Shame....

<<And AMD is the CPU in over 50% of PCs sold today>>

I am not aware of that. I only know that they have 10% of the market share and they barely break even. that leads me to believe that they are in the lowest of the low ends of the pc's(if your 50% figure is correct). no marrgin! KIS -- stick with the leader and the winner. going against the grain is all good and stuff, but trusting your money to a known lo$er like Jerry Sanders is foolish(jmo).

<< You can't refute that figure. >>

If we get into such arguments then I'd like to point out that amd seldom makes a profit(and you can't refute that)...

<< does not mean it is impossible for them to create a good chip. They've done that.

With intc's 600+ MHz p3's and merced in the pipeline(huge brand name, tons of capital, diverse product line to support a cutthroat pricewar), amd has good reasons to be paranoid. so do you....
