Gorgeous, my arthritic foot!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in my beholding, you are gorgeous indeed.

Now, as to that arthritic foot. I think you need a bit longer in the closet, but when it is time for you to emerge I think I will be able to pay proper attention to that foot of yours, and if not cure it, at least divert your attentions from its discomfort.

But all in good time.

You hear footsteps approaching. You have lost track of time in the closet, what was exciting became boring and then became trepidation. The darkness has made your sense of hearing more acute, so you hear footsteps on the carpet you would not have heard otherwise. You hear the scritching of the key in the lock and the turning of the knob. There is a sudden blast of light which blinds you, and you blink and turn away. I take advantage of your momentary incapacitation to seize you by the arm, hustle you quickly to the bed, and throw you down on it. Your feelings are in turmoil, I don't need to describe the mixture of relief, concern, anxiety, anticipation which course thorough your mind.

You had kicked your shoes off in the closet, and had not been wearing stockings, so your feet are bare. I reach for a basin of warm water which I have brought with me and you feel a sudden touch of a warm, soft washcloth against your arthritic foot. It feels soothing, and you relax a little. Gently I lave your sensitive skin. I have a rudimentary knowledge of reflexology and warm strokes and light pressure to start to relieve your stress and lower your pounding blood pressure. Your eyes have not yet adjusted to the light, and you find it more comfortable to keep them closed.

You detect the light scent of aromatic oils and realize that I have finished cleaning your feet and am starting to massage them with the warm oil. It feels wonderful, and you go into a deeper relaxation.

.... To be continued ...
