George, Hi! The rumor about NTAP & FFIV was put out on TMF thread on 7/14/1999 when FFIV was around $52. It quickly rose and peaked over $80 in just a couple of days. It since has been falling to around $52 again. I'd be surprised if the rumor on TMF's thread alone would have caused such a run up. I can't believe people would buy a stock on just such a rumor given the history of "pump & dump" on the internet. As they say "A fool and his money..." Best, Duncan
