You can thank me selling half my ntii yesterday for the move up...halving all my positions ydy* was really slick (read sarcastic), I feel a little queasy--way to stick it to myself! I raise cash and microcap biotech held up marvelously today. I really am at a loss...might be time to quit trading alltogether. *I should note...just for the sake of being entirely honest on these threads, that I halvedalmost everything yesterday--Ariad was the exception and continues to be my largest holding, despite the slide and mounting losses (too dramatic? my basis is 1 3/8ths...so maybe I should not complain too much. When they shake me out of the rest of ARIA, you will all know it is time to buy that one...maybe with NTII profits, heheh). Sigh. This is definately a low point for me... and although I am happy to have made some interesting contacts in biotechland...I am not sure I quite have the consititution to keep this up. I zig, the market zags. At least my gold fund was up strongly today, ha ha! Well, another long chatty post...today's my day off work...and I'll be damned if I'm going to bemoan my lack of skill at trading any further. There are a couple of good papers at Nature.com--I'd encourage folks to read the one about generating cancer tumors, keep an eye on Geron, if telomerase gets in the media again due to the papers, that might be one to daytrade as it hops around. I also see a ras paper at Nature this week...that gave me a chance to review the ras-inhibitor programs, I was reminded today of preclinical work at OSI (osip) and the Isis antisense ras--2503 I think that one is. I elected not to try and daytrade anything coming of the nature papers--MSNBC had a blurb...but not enough of the keywords to get stocks hopping...and it was a rough day. Go NTII! Sure wish I had those shares back! Of course if it turns out to be a ten bagger someday...maybe 5000 shares is enough for me anyway;-)
