Well the "success" value is even higher than I would ever post - at this time.

I will point out what should be obvious to those of us who have followed MRVC closely:

If we have winner products in the carrier market, we are NOT talking about small individual purchases here. We are talking about the bulding blocks of new networks. These would become new customers with long-term stable relationships. Contracts would be sizeable AND renewable.

Carriers don't switch horses on a whim. They have a responsibility to their customers for up-time, etc. Once we are in, we stay in - as long as we keep up with the technology, give the customer excellent service and support.

Consider the CW Aranea router. A customer starts small with 1 box in multiple places. As growth occurs, MRVC ships add-on line cards until the boxes are getting full. Then orders for new boxes come in, etc.

The NAC product requires high-speed routers off the Metro Core boxes, and somewhat lower speed routers at each node. When MetroFusion moves to higher capacity configs, the node routers will need to handle more capacity. A customer is not about to under configure a node router or go with non-expandable equipment. They will want something like the Aranea on the Core links and Linux router on the nodes that can grow as the Metro access ring grows.

With ASND contracts ranged from $20 million to about $150 million - and they won many of those in 1998. If we get some of those, we meet his "successful" numbers.

As I was typing we just crossed 1 million shares today.
