Chuzz - I admit that the magnitude of the grants astounds me. Even more - that the amount represents only 31% of the options granted in 1998, bringing the total value to nearly a half billion $

So what are you gonna do about it?

Note also that I posted the options information (and separate commentary) nearly two months ago, but received no response. Nobody seems to care. So management will continue to lavish these options on everyone until something is done. I quite honestly don't think that anyone will do anything unless it is to sell their Dell stock.

I have yet to do any analysis on its impact, and probably won't. But I am curious about what the net effect of the options plan and stock repurchase plan are. Is it that we (Dell ownership) are just monetizing the options compensation without an impact the the income statement?

I wish I had the answers. But don't and not enough time to develop them. It seems like analysts should take this sort of stuff into account when they analyse a stock. Wish someone would get to the bottom line answer - call Mohan's analyst bro's - maybe they have the answer? Not.
