<The computer revolution is driving much of the economy.>

The computer revolution is even bigger than moveable type and the printing press. That set the world on fire back then and led to literacy and prosperity. It helped break the stranglehold the Catholic Church had on all of society too.

I am aware that the president doesn't make a strong economy, but he can take steps to help it, or screw it up. I repeat that if this kind of great economy happened during the Reagan/Bush years, I would have never heard the end of it. The fact remains that during the "cut big government" Reagan/Bush years we had a huge increase in debt, and a big increase in government hiring, despite what the public perception is. The billion dollar plus "Reagan building" is an appropriate monument to the era.
